Horseback riding is the most authentic way to experience Patagonia, and there is a ride for every level — from a gentle first hour in the saddle to a full day in the mountains. Here is how our three styles of ride compare.
The easiest way to ride in Patagonia: estancias 25–30 minutes from town, between lakes, native forest and cliffs where condors nest. You choose how long to ride, and we match you with the estancia with availability on your dates.
Transfer from Bories not included — we can arrange it.
Small, very personal operations that shape the day around you. With Horse Connection Patagonia, for example, you first meet your horse, brush and saddle it, and learn to read it before setting off — a calmer, more connected experience rather than just a ride.
Transfer from Puerto Natales included. More tailor-made options coming soon.
For intermediate and experienced riders. Estancia Los Baguales lies in the remote Baguales range, north of Torres del Paine, with a great herd of horses and open country for some cantering. Chilean saddles with wool cushions, helmet and half chaps, and a bilingual riding guide. Groups of 2 to 6.
Not included: travel insurance.
